More than 2500 years ago, the legendary teller of tales,
Aesop, recounted his well known fable "Town Mouse Country Mouse". Now,
more than two and a half millennia later, teddy bear author,
illustrator, and historian Kathleen Bart retells this classic fable, but
this time with an enchanting teddy bear twist.

Manhattan resident Tuxedo Teddy is utterly overwhelmed by his hectic
life in the city. Wyoming homesteader Bandanna Bear is totally bored by
his quiet life in the country. Envious of each other’s lives, they
decide to swap places. Humorous faux pas, zany shenanigans, and madcap
mishaps follow. As each bear gets caught up in the adventures and
challenges of their new lives, they quickly realize that their new
lifestyles are much more than they bargained for.

By story’s end, Tuxedo and Bandanna discover that sometimes wishing is
better than having, and that the grass is not always greener on the
other side; a timeless lesson.

The richly detailed illustrations, delicately rendered, are achieved
through the application of multiple layers of colored pencil. They
reflect and complement the distinct personalities of each bear, as well
as the contrasting settings of their stories.
