*The San Francisco
Chronicle (October 8, 2003) reviewed "Global Gourmet" in
October 2003, calling it "a jolly journey-an entertaining
book for anybody cooking with children at home or in the
classroom".
*The Bloomsbury Review reviewed "Global Gourmet" in
November 2003, stating the book is "an adventure in
learning how people around the world live".
*Newsday (Sunday November 2, 2003) ran a full page feature
on chef Kathleen Bart and "Global Gourmet" in the Long
Island Life "Look Who’s Cooking" section.
*The Los Angeles Times (October 2003) featured Kathleen
Bart’s Beef Negimaki recipe from "Global Gourmet".
*Associated Press and Canadian Press (December 22,2003)
posted (on their international wire) a feature story on "American
Diversity Cookbooks" including "Global Gourmet" along with books
authored by distinguished chefs, celebrated restaurateurs and
accomplished food writers. The image chosen by A.P. to accompany
the wire release was the front cover of "Global Gourmet"
illustrated by Kathleen Bart. This press release has been
featured in newspapers throughout the United States and
Canada. *The Chicago Tribune (December 17, 2003) ran a story
on The African-American Cultural Festival "Kwanza", featuring a
recipe for Groundnut Stew from "Global Gourmet" created by
author/illustrator Kathleen Bart.
*The Orlando Sentinel (December 31,2003) featured
"Global Gourmet" in an article entitled "Book Offers View of World
from Table". The article included an illustration from the book.
*The Independent Publisher (October, 2003)
reviewed "Global Gourmet", placing it "among the best of the new
published titles received and reviewed".
*Anita LaSpina, winner of The New York Times
Librarian of the Year Award, endorsed "Global Gourmet", calling it
"a must purchase for all libraries".
*Connie Martinson, (December 12, 2003) syndicated
columnist, book critic and television author interviewer, reviewed
"Global Gourmet" in her column "Connie Martinson Talks Books",

*The Smithsonian Institution selected "Global Gourmet" for
their museum shops . The author/illustrator plans to present
and sign her book at the National Museum of American
History.
