Author And
Illustrator Kathleen Bart Presents A School Program In Celebration Of The
History Of The Teddy Bear...

Travel back in time with
author Kathleen Bart as she tells the true story of how the teddy bear
came to be. Two teddy bears were created at the same time in two distant
parts of the world. Both claim to be the very first! Kathleen presents
each bear’s side of the argument through an engaging narrative and
poster-sized illustrations. After the bears’ lively debate, it’s up to the
listeners to decide...which teddy bear was truly the very first?
Kathleen completes her program by introducing children to the magic of
creating stories and pictures! Using materials saved while working on A
Tale of Two Teddies, Kathleen demonstrates how a picture book is written
and illustrated.
This interactive 45 minute program is personalized to inspire students
grades K-6. Kathleen’s objective is to make writing and drawing
approachable for all students.
